Once an autoencoder has learned what “normal” data looks like, anything that deviates significantly will result in a high “reconstruction error” – meaning the decoder struggles to rebuild the original input from its compressed version.
   • Market Manipulation: A sudden, unusual price spike or drop that doesn’t fit learned patterns could signal potential arbitrage opportunities, or even attempts at market manipulation.
   • Unusual Ship Builds: While innovation is great, an autoencoder could flag highly inefficient or “broken” ship builds, helping players optimize their fleets or even identify potential exploits.
